Your worst enemy is your mind. No not your brain, these are separate —at least in my perspective. Your mind contains your thoughts and your thoughts are what can drive you to be the way you are, they’re like food to your emotions. Would you cry if you weren’t thinking? Would you be angry? Would you laugh? Your thoughts are what allow you to speak, and to feel. It’s important to be in control of what you’re thinking, I’ve learned. Don’t let people influence your thoughts, and ignore the demons. Distinguish which thoughts are genuine and which are foreign. Don’t over think either. When an upsetting thought enters your mind don’t entertain it. Let it pass. Don’t entertain what if’s or things that aren’t fact. It’ll drive you crazy. I’ve learned that what will keep you sane is to not think too much about anything disconcerting, especially if it’s hypothetical, and let whatever happens happen. God will let things take it’s course and serve justice to where need be. It’s not our place. Although what I’ve learned is definitely hard to put into practice. We’re human. I’m human, and I’m still struggling to determine which thoughts are my own sometimes.
